Geoffrey Brown, MA, LPC
I’ve been in practice for over seven years, and
received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from
and am a clinical member of both the American
Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and the Wisconsin Mental Health
Counselors Association (WIMHCA).
It is my philosophy that all people have strengths, but all too often we get caught up in “what’s wrong”, and we lose sight of those strengths. I have worked with – and will continue to work with – a wide variety of clients. Adolescents: Much of my work has been with adolescent clients (especially males) to address such issues as:
Adults: I also work with adult clients to address issues related to:
I recently moved to the Madison area from Northwest Indiana, where I worked for a social services agency, providing individual, group, and family counseling services. Prior to working as a counselor, I worked as a children’s advocate at a shelter for victims of domestic violence, and most recently, I have begun teaching graduate courses in counseling at Lakeland College.
